What are molds?
Molds and fungus outdoors can cause problems for those with sensitivities, but indoor molds can have devastating effects on otherwise healthy people. There are predicted to be over 300,000 species of mold. They grow best in damp or humid, warm conditions. Molds spread and reproduce by making spores.

What causes indoor air problems?
Indoor pollution sources that release gases or particles into the air are the primary cause of IAQ problems in most homes and offices. Poor ventilation can increase indoor levels by not bring in enough outdoor air to circulate emissions from indoor sources and by not carrying indoor pollutants out of the building.

What is Asthma?
Asthma is a respiratory disease that can be life threatening. It is a chronic or long term disease. Asthma can be controlled through medical treatment and management of environmental triggers. Triggers include allergens, mold, dust mites, and airborne irritants.

Why is indoor air quality so important?
Indoor air quality is a major concern to offices, schools, businesses, employees, tenants, customers, and family members because it can impact and effect the health, comfort, well being, and productivity of the occupants. Studies have shown that indoor environments sometimes can have levels of pollutants 7-10 times higher than levels found outside. The EPA ranks indoor air pollution as an important environmental health issue.

Why Healthway?
Healthway prides itself on manufacturing and marketing the highest quality Health Products in the world. By incorporating new technologies (EMF FILTRATION) Healthway bridges the gap between medical grade purification and consumer-use air cleaning equipment. The EMF technology is the most significant advancement in the IAQ industry in years and gives people total control of their indoor air. All of Healthway’s air purification equipment is manufactured to ISO 9002 standards.

What about ozone?
Ozone is a molecule composed of three oxygen atoms, one of which can reattach to molecules of other substances and thereby alter their chemical composition. It is a highly reactive chemical that is sometimes used to clear pollution and odors in unoccupied building. People with asthma can be especially sensitive to ozone. It is a strong lung irritant. Healthway’s Deodorizer (HW-DE01) has a built in timer to release “activated oxygen” in the air when people are not present.
